Benson Kenduiywo is a postdoctoral scholar in the Department of Environmental Science and Policy at UC Davis. He is also lecturer at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology in Kenya currently on postdoctoral leave. Kenduiywo builds tools to facilitate the uptake of geoinformation for different applications. He is currently developing tools based on Earth observation data to improve the quality and uptake of agricultural index insurance in East Africa. He has also participated in other projects, including System for Land-based Emissions Estimation in Kenya (SLEEK) and Forest2020. Kenduiywo completed his Ph.D. at Technische Universität Darmstadt in Germany.
